Since 2018, Yori Lang has been studying at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under Patrice Richer. He is already involved in the professional arena, having performed as a freelance musician with the Trois-Rivières and Drummondville symphony orchestras, Ensemble Obiora and both the Festival Classica’s and the Nouvel Opéra Métropolitain’s orchestras. Yori’s involvement in the Royal Danish Academy’s MusiPæd Brass Winter Course and the mentorship study programs at the Orchestre classique de Montréal and Domaine Forget afforded him the opportunity to work with many celebrated masters in the field, such as Jesper Juul, Toby Oft, Alain Trudel and Ingemar Roos. In 2022, he became a soloist for the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal, and performed Lars-Erik Larsson’s concertino for trombone accompanied by the other young musicians of the orchestra.

In 2023, he received a bachelor’s degree from the Conservatoire, where he continues to pursue his master’s degree. In the spring of 2023, Yori won top prize in the Classival competition’s chamber music category as part of the trio Ensemble Volantys, which he co-founded.
