Octopus–Musician
Nicolas Letarte-Bersianik is a multi-multi-instrumentalist—“multi” twice, because in addition to being a wizard on drums, synthesizers and guitar, he builds his own sound and sound effects machines, not to mention mastering the acoustic and electric musical saw like nobody’s business.
He composes music for film, dance and theatre (notably for Robert Lepage’s company Ex Machina), and plays in the popular Montréal-based band Fanfare Pourpour. At the NAC, he has appeared as both an actor and a musician in Les grands-mères mortes and Mini-chansons pour le musée by the company Mammifères.
