Emily Kistemaker

Emily Kistemaker is a professional violinist and violist currently residing in Ottawa, Ontario. Since starting violin at the age of three, she has received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Violin Performance, as well as a Diploma in Viola Performance. During her time at Laurier, she won both concerto competitions held there and performed as a soloist with both the Laurier Orchestra and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. In 2023, she was able to sub with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra for two concerts as a section violist, and she subbed with both the Gatineau and Ottawa Symphony Orchestras as principal violist.
