Anouar Brissel is a self-taught artist who is passionate about all forms of art that arouse his imagination. A video artist and photographer, he also explores drawing and musical composition. 
 
In 2006, with the Gradus Ad Musicam, he created his first projections for Dogora by Étienne Perruchon at Salle Poirel in Nancy and Carmina Burana in 2007. 
 
In 2016, he met James Bonas and Grégoire Pont at Opéra National de Lyon. During their successful collaboration, they created L’heure espagnole (2018), Der Mond (2020) at the Opéra National de Lyon and The Snow Queen for Opéra national du Rhin (2021). He worked on Gianni Schicchi, L’elisir d’amore and Don Pasquale for Festival Napa Valley with Jean Romain Vesperini from 2021 to 2023, as well as Une autre histoire de Manon at Opéra de Saint-Étienne with Claire Manjarrès in 2023 and Ariadne auf Naxos at Theater Magdeburg - Opernhaus with James Bonas in 2023. 
 
Anouar’s latest production is The Rite of Spring with Aurora Orchestra for the BBC Proms.
