Since 2020, the Capital Music Awards have recognized outstanding achievements in Ottawa’s music industry, celebrating musicians, live music curators, music educators, sound engineers, music venues and more.
Produced and presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC), the annual awards highlight the diverse talent and vibrant music community of the National Capital Region, acting as a stepping stone for local artists towards accolades such as the Junos, as well as a platform for networking and collaboration within the music sector as Ottawa’s largest music industry gathering.

The Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is proud to announce the nominees for the 2025Capital Music Awards (CMAs), a celebration of the incredible talent and diversity within Ottawa’s vibrant music community. For the first time since its inception in 2020, the CMAs will be presented by the National Arts Centre with thanks to the City of Ottawa for their continuous support.
This year’s nominees represent the best of Ottawa’s music scene across a wide range of categories. From emerging artists to industry veterans, the 2025 nominees showcase the remarkable artistry and dedication that make our city a true Music City.
