About the Performance

How many classical music premieres have audiences dancing in the aisles?
We invite you to be part of a historic, dance-inducing evening celebrating Cuba’s musical heritage, when the two-time Grammy-nominated Cuban music group, Tiempo Libre performs with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.

Tiempo Libre and the National Arts Centre Orchestra will present the Canadian premiere of Rumba Sinfónica, a new symphonic work by revered Venezuelan composer Ricardo Lorenz in collaboration with Jorge Gomez of Tiempo Libre. The band will also perform an electrifying set of timba music, an irresistible mix of high-voltage Latin jazz and the seductive rhythms of son, which is sure to have concert-goers on their feet and dancing.

Patrons attending any of the Tiempo Libre CTV Pops concerts will have the opportunity to win a trip for two to Cuba, compliments of CAA Travel – a holiday package valued at up to $4,500 CDN.

When a performance is scheduled, the Box Office will open 2 hours prior to curtain until 15 minutes after the curtain time of the last performance. No service charges. Debit card and major credit cards accepted.

Live Rush™ Information

This performance is eligible for the Live Rush program.

Full-time students age 13-29 with valid Live Rushô membership may buy up to 2 tickets per performance at the discounted price of only $11 per ticket.

Live Rush tickets are available from 10am on the day before the performance to 6pm the day of the performance.

Tickets are available for purchase either online through Ticketmaster or in person at the NAC Box Office.

Valid student ID or similar is required for ticket pick up.
