Please be a good neighbour:
Out of consideration for your fellow patrons, we would like to remind you that the use of perfumes and colognes can cause allergic reactions. Less is more… none is best! If you are experiencing an allergic reaction due to your seating location, please contact the House Manager about the possibility of a relocation.
We thank you for your cooperation.
Wheelchair and disabled seating:
The NAC is a barrier-free environment accessible to the disabled. All NAC halls have accessible areas.
Special tickets are available for those patrons in wheelchairs. If a patron remains in his/her wheelchair for a performance, they will be sold a ticket in a specific wheelchair location and the ticket price will be that of the least expensive ticket in the hall. If a patron in a wheelchair wishes to transfer from the wheelchair to an actual seat, they will be sold a ticket at the regular price. The customer must also advise House Management in advance if he/she will require special assistance from the ushers on the night of the show.
The NAC is a barrier-free environment accessible to mobility impaired patrons. Patrons in wheelchairs must purchase tickets directly from the NAC Box Office either in person or by calling 613-947-7000 ext. 620 or toll free at 1-866-850-ARTS (2787) ext. 620.
Hearing devices:
New, improved and available now!
The National Arts Centre is pleased to announce the installation of a new Assistive Listening System! Now available in the Studio, Theatre and Southam Hall, the new state-of-the art system boasts:
- Compatibility with all types of hearing aides
- Three receiver options; bring your own headphones
- Transmission of sound in stereo
- The most pristine quality of sound with emphasis on speech intelligibility and musical fidelity
- Ideal for people with slight hearing loss to those with cochlear implants
Available at the Theatre Coat Check on a complimentary, first-come, first-served basis.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of Harvey and Louise Glatt for making this system possible.
Infant policy:
"Babes in Arms" tickets are available for children under two years of age for "children" shows only! These tickets have no seat location indicated on them thereby permit a child to sit on a parent's lap. "Babes in Arms" tickets are the price of the lowest ticket sold in the hall for a particular event. If a child is using a seat, he or she will need a regular ticket. For events other than childrens' shows, ALL patrons will need a regular ticket.
